Tony Robins: Why We Do What We Do, And How We Can Do It Better

January 3, 2010

I love the TED talks and while I’ve never been a follower of Tony’s I’ve always respected the guy. This video is really good and his message is, while not new, more well articulated than I’ve heard elsewhere.

Chateau La Gomerie 2005 Bordeaux, St Emilion

December 24, 2009

This was an unexpected surprise from my Uncle Vincent at Christmas time.  An exceptionally good Bordeaux for the price, drinkable alone but would go very well with food, I’m finding it goes particularly well with chocolate. Slight musty on the nose (my favorite quality in a Bordeaux) and lots of Blackberry. What I picked up [...]

June 15, 2006

This wine was a welcome surprise discovered while visiting the Salish Lodge in Snoqualmie Falls, Washington. Big and fruit forward this wine reminded me of some of the big Californian Cab’s I’ve had but a little less “in-your-face”. The fruit is not overpowering but is again, forward. Balancing the fruit is just the right amount [...]

Porno Vino!

March 23, 2006

If in wine there really is truth she obviously has nothing to hide! I’m actually quite interested in trying this wine.
